This Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG Is the Best of the Best

Back in April, a rare 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG hit the RM Sotheby’s auction block and sold for an astonishing $472,500 USD, and now another very clean example has been listed for sale by DK Engineering.

The CLK DTM AMG is no ordinary car — rarer and much more hardcore than the sought-after CLK Black Series — as it is a homologation special, acknowledging Bernd Schneider’s Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters championship win in 2003. Just 100 coupes were made alongside another 80 convertibles, and each came with a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 producing 582 HP and 504 ft-lbs of torque that was mated to a Mercedes-Benz SpeedShift 5G-Tronic automatic transmission that made it good for 199 MPH and a 3.9-second 0-62 MPH time.

This particular example is just one of the 40 coupes ever made in right-hand-drive, and is in pristine condition with just 8,700 miles on the clock. Presented in “Obsidian Black” over a black interior, the car comes with lashings of carbon fiber working the flared wheel arches, rear wing, and front splitter, while more carbon fiber can be found inside alongside the lightweight Alcantara trimmed bucket seats. Rounding out the car is a set of staggered 19″ front and 20″ rear lightweight split-rim wheels inspired by the DTM racing car.

DK Engineering has the car listed for £259,995 GBP/€303,995 EUR/$345,995 USD. Take a closer look at the Alex Penfold-shot images above, and find the listing online
