The GPD Win Max 2 is a new handheld system designed for gaming on the go. Currently in the crowdfunding phase, with over $1,500,000 USD raised, the device features a 10.1-inch (256 mm) full screen with a native landscape and 16 GB and 32 GB storage options.
The make of the console looks similar to a Nintendo DS. Along with a keyboard, there’s a directional pad, two pairs of analog sticks and four action buttons. A touchpad is located between the gaming buttons, which allows the Win Max 2 to double as a standard laptop. The backend of the keyboard, meanwhile, includes buttons that can be programmed by the user.
The Win Max 2 also supports mobile internet use, making it convenient to play games while traveling. Users simply have to purchase their own 4G LTE module and connect the system.
The GPD Win Max 2 is priced at $899 USD. The first batch of devices is expected to ship out in September 2022.
In other tech news, Apple iPhone 14 Pro pricing is expected to increase by $100 USD.
