The Weeknd Surprise Releases Deluxe Edition of ‘Starboy’

The Weeknd Surprise Releases Deluxe Edition of 'Starboy'

After months of teasing, The Weeknd has finally dropped off the deluxe version of his GRAMMY-winning album, Starboy.

The newest edition features an extended tracklist comprised of the 18 original songs and three additions: the recent “Die For You” remix with Ariana Grande, the Kygo remix of “Starboy” and the remix of “Reminder” with A$AP Rocky and Young Thug — all of which have been released in the past.

Starboy (Deluxe) arrives just shortly after The Weeknd tied Michael Jackson’s Billboard Hot 100 record after “Die For You (Remix)” moved up to No. 1; he and the late King of Pop are the only male soloists in history to achieve several No. 1s from three different albums, with MJ nabbing multiple No. 1 entries from 1979’s Off The Wall, 1982’s Thriller and 1987’s Bad and The Weeknd doing same thing from 2015’s Beauty Behind The Madness, 2016’s Starboy and 2020’s After Hours.

Starboy dropped in November 2016 with guest appearances from Daft Punk, Lana Del Rey, Kendrick Lamar and Future, and gave The Weeknd his second GRAMMY win in the category of Best Urban Contemporary Album. It went on to debut at No. 1 and has been certified 4x platinum as of writing.
