On the heels of earning his fifth RIAA diamond-certified single for “Earned It” from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, as well as securing a GRAMMY for Best R&B Performance, The Weeknd has shared a new video.
Rather than a traditional music video, however, this latest release is a cut from the singer’s live performance at So-Fi Stadium last year. The video features a stunning rendition of the fan-favorite track “Die For You.”
“Even though we’re goin’ through it / And it makes you feel alone,” he croons before the massive crowd. “Just know that I would die for you / Baby, I would die for you, yeah.”
The performance was filmed during the first U.S. leg of The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn Tour. A full version of the concert will premiere on HBO as a special on February 25.
