The Weeknd and Ariana Grande made sure their fans got their tissues ready and saved their tears for Friday (April 23) when they released their “Save Your Tears” remix.
Earlier this week, both superstars teased an eight-second audio snippet on Twitter of their breathy vocals harmonizing the lyric “I don’t know why I run away” on the song from The Weeknd’s Billboard 200 No. 1 album After Hours. “Save Your Tears” is currently sitting at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, dated April 24, and just topped the Pop Airplay chart this week.
The “Save Your Tears” remix is The Weeknd and Grande’s third collaboration in seven years. He hopped on the “off the table” duet featured on Grande’s 2020 No. 1 album Positions and “Love Me Harder” from her 2014 sophomore album My Everything, which ended up peaking at No. 7 on the Hot 100.
