Spanning 22 tracks, Hurry Up Tomorrow is a transportive tale through soundscapes both near and far, reflecting on his past and channeling his mixtape Trilogy days for some songs and looking ahead into the future and tapping into more diverse, dynamic production for others.
“Dancing in the Flames” doesn’t make the final cut on the 90-minute tracklist, though singles “São Paulo” with Anitta and “Timeless” with Playboi Carti do. Features remain hidden but span the likes of Justice, Florence and the Machine, Travis Scott, Future, Giorgio Moroder and Lana Del Rey. The album’s accompanying film starring The Weeknd himself alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan is set to release in May. Though in the more near future, the album is getting its very-own pop-up experience in New York City over the weekend at Rockefeller Center, complete with a merch capsule and art exhibition.
