The Weeknd Celebrates Five Years of ‘STARBOY’ With New “Die For You” Visual

In celebration of the fifth anniversary of STARBOY, The Weeknd has dropped off an accompanying music video for the track “Die For You.”

Helmed by Christian Breslauer, the visual pays homage to Netflix‘s Stranger Things and the classic film E.T. It follows a young boy with telekinetic powers as he attempts to outrun the authorities that have given him the nickname Project: Starboy.

In addition to the new visual, The Weeknd also dropped a collaborative collection with Seventh Heaven. The capsule highlights STARBOY’s famed motifs of thunderbolt and cross on leather and denim jackets, hoodies, sweatshirts and T-shirts.

Earlier this week, Billboard named “Blinding Lights” as the newest greatest song of all time. “From Jack Nicholson’s character in Chinatown to the film Possession to Tim Robbins in Jacob’s Ladder, it’s just all of my favorite psychological thrillers and dramas in one universe,” he said of After Hours.
