The Weeknd‘s After Hours continues to set records even two years after its release, with the Ariana Grande-assisted remix of “Save Your Tears” making chart history.
According to reports, the pair’s collaborative effort is now the Billboard Hot 100‘s second-longest charting No. 1 entry and the Hot 100’s longest-charting collaboration. “Save Your Tears” runs just behind The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” which took the top spot in August 2021 when it logged its record-breaking 88th week.
The original version of “Save Your Tears” initially peaked at No. 4 and shot to No. 1 when Grande joined in for the remix. It gave both The Weeknd and Grande their sixth No. 1 entry on the Hot 100 and made After Hours the first album since Drake’s Scorpion to hold three chart-topping singles.
.@theweeknd and Ariana Grande’s “Save Your Tears” is now the second longest charting #1 hit in Hot 100 history, only behind The Weeknd’s own “Blinding Lights”.
