Apple TV+ is capitalizing on 90’s nostalgia by taking us back to the heyday of the supermodel with The Super Models. An upcoming docu-series, The Super Models features modeling icons Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington (who even coined the term) reflecting on their individual careers and the foursome’s eventual domination of the modeling industry alongside an archive of never-before-seen footage.
“How do you define the word ‘supermodel?’” a producer asks in the teaser, as footage of Crawford, Campbell, Evangelista and Turlington sitting down in front of the camera flashes on the screen. Imagine Documentaries and One Story Up readied the four-part series for its Apple TV+ premiere, alongside executive producers Ron Howard, Barbara Kopple, Roger Ross Williams, Geoff Martz, Brian Grazer, Sara Bernstein, and Justin Wilkes.
Crawford, Campbell, Evangelista and Turlington hold executive producer titles as well and are equally as eager as viewers are to open their world, having taken to their respective socials to express excitement for what they refer to as “our story.”
The Super Models will launch on Apple TV+ September 20. Check out the teaser above.
