The North Face Launches a New Athlete Development Program

The North Face has revealed an expansion of its athlete team with a new Athlete Development Program aimed at fostering emerging talent in outdoor sports.

The new program will grant 15-20 up-and-coming athletes specializing in climbing, skiing, snowboarding, trail running, or alpinism, the opportunity to earn a two-year contract with The North Face.”From mentorship with team athletes to educational sessions and collaboration opportunities with The North Face, our goal is to give you the resources to amplify your talent,” TNF wrote on its website.

“Our Athlete Development Program is rooted in a vision to expand our community and empower new voices. We’re searching for athletes who are inspired by the mountains, and identify as activists, social media pros, creatives and/or future leaders who are passionate about their community,” TNF continued.

Each athlete selected will be offered 1-to-1 mentorship from The North Face’s more than 150 sponsored athletes from around the world, and resources to promote their individual athletic, social, and personal growth. Current TNF athletes on the advisory panel for the program include snowboarder Erik Leon and climber Nina Williams.

Applications for The North Face’s Athlete Development Program are now open, and interested athletes can learn more about the opportunity and apply here. Selections will take place through Spring 2022.

Elsewhere, THE NORTH FACE STANDARD launches a “Wandereic” skateboard bag series.
