Adidas and Stella McCarney‘s new Stellashine range is the ultimate collection of disco-inspired gear that you won’t want to take off, ever. The collection consists of luxury athleisurewear in the form of iridescent crop tops and matching tights and metallic running jackets in pastel champagne, space gray, and sleek black colourways.
In terms of the hero piece, it’s undoubtedly the Adidas by Stella McCartney Ultraboost ’21 sneaker, which launched in a unique silver finish for the first time ever. Offering a seamless blend of style and functionality, the shoe boasts a super-responsive Boost midsole and is made with Primegreen. Also used in Adidas’s newest Stan Smith silhouette, Primegreen is a series of high-performance recycled materials that feature 50 percent recycled upper.
The autumn/winter 2021 campaign is dedicated to elevating creatives and activists from the next generation. It features supreme roller-skater and founder of Jam Skate Club Oumi Janta and model and artist Anuthida Ploypetch. The campaign aims to encourage motion in all forms — from roller skating to running — and highlights the versatility of the collection.
McCartney said in a release that “When crafting this collection, we wanted to provide next-gen change-makers with the opportunity to express themselves in bold looks that not only fuse high-fashion and performance, but use adidas’ material innovations like Primegreen, a series of high-performance recycled materials. It’s so exciting to give activists at the forefront of art and culture another platform to share their work. The drop features some really fun and unique pieces, with new prints and shades that push the boundaries of what more sustainable style looks like. We hope this collection helps to inspire our community to act with purpose as they move through sport and life.”
