The Kid LAROI on Friday released his latest single, “Thousand Miles,” with an accompanying music video.
The track is the first to arrive off the 18-year-old artist’s forthcoming debut album, which he has said will be called Kids Are Growing Up and is scheduled to release later this year. LAROI co-wrote the song with Andrew Watman, Louis Bell and Billy Walsh, while Bell co-produced alongside longtime Post Malone collaborator Andrew Watt. Prior to today’s release, “Thousand Miles” was first previewed on social media in early 2021 before LAROI performed the track live later in the year.
The visual, directed by Christian Breslauer, sees the chart-topping vocalist fending off a villainous version of himself dressed in all red. LAROI’s evil identity tortures his innocent counterpart, who wears all white, by dragging him down a street, running him over with a train and dropping a grand piano on him.
LAROI’s debut album will follow the release of his F*CK LOVE 3: OVER YOU mixtape in July of last year, which featured artists including Polo G, Lil Durk, G Herbo and more. That tracklist houses his notable Justin Bieber collaboration, “Stay,” which debuted at No. 3 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 charts.
