The first trailer is out for the fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. Hitting the streamer on May 27 in the United States, the trailer sets up the arrival of a new monster from the Upside Down.
The video begins with a quick shot of the blue-eyed monster awakening, before cutting to Max (Sadie Sink) mourning the death of her older brother Billy (Dacre Montgomery) as she talks to his tombstone.
“Ever since you left, everything’s been a total disaster,” she says.
Although the Byers family and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) have moved away from Hawkins, relocating to California, their adventure is far from over. But as the threat of a new terror looms, the future looks grim as Eleven no longer has her powers.
The new season will see the return of the entire main cast, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery.
Season four of Stranger Things debuts on Netflix on May 27.
In other entertainment news, Peacock is reportedly developing a live-action adaptation series of Casper the Friendly Ghost.
