Round Hill Music acquired a significant share of Nancy Wilson‘s master royalties and has entered a long-term deal to administer her neighboring rights income.
Though the exact share of the Heart singer, songwriter and guitarist’s master royalties remains undisclosed, Round Hill will own portions of classic Heart songs like “Barracuda,” “Magic Man,” “Alone,” “Crazy on You” and “These Dreams” — all of which were co-penned by Wilson.
Trevor Bowen, chair of Round Hill Music, said of the deal, “We are very pleased to announce the acquisition of Nancy Wilson’s fantastic catalogue of classic Heart tracks from across her career including songs from her double and triple platinum selling albums. This important acquisition provides the Company with direct exposure to a timeless American rock band.”

Producer and artist Murda Beatz signed a global distribution deal with ADA Worldwide. His first single under the agreement is “One Shot” feat. Blxst and Wale.
According to a release, Murda Beatz has worked on over 40 platinum and multi-platinum singles. Last year, he produced Chlöe’s “Have Mercy” and Polo G’s Hot 100 No. 1 single “Rapstar.” He was nominated for a 2016 Grammy for Album of the Year for his work on Drake’s fourth studio album Views.

Independent digital music licensing company Merlin reached a multi-year deal with Lickd, which provides video creators with access to label-owned music.
The partnership means that music from tens of thousands of independent labels and hundreds of thousands of artists will now be available to Lickd customers; it also provides new revenue opportunities for Merlin members. “This partnership will not only offer opportunities for YouTubers and other content creators to expand their income, it will also put independents in a position where they can further maximise their revenue potential,” said Lickd CEO Paul Sampson in a press release.
“User-generated social video content is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the media and entertainment industries, and we’re thrilled to help keep our members’ music at the forefront,” added Charlie Lexton, COO of Merlin.
According to Merlin, its members account for over 15% of global music market share.
Pop singer-songwriter Raveena signed to Warner Records, which released her latest single, “Rush.”
Raveena’s releases to date include the 2019 album Lucid, the 2020 EP Moonstone and the 2021 single “Tweety.” The Indian-American artist’s music blends “contemporary R&B with elements from the South Asian diaspora,” according to a press release.

ASM Global acquired a majority stake in Anthony James Partners, an owner’s representative and AV consultancy that specializes in the design, procurement and implementation of large-scale AV technology and related systems.
According to a release, the partnership will strengthen ASM Global’s technological capabilities via the deployment of digital signage networks, LED displays, broadcast production facilities and audio and sports/entertainment lighting, along with core integration and infrastructure requirements for ASM arenas, stadiums and convention centers. It will also support a broader range of design, procurement and construction administration services in entertainment districts, municipal and cultural centers and digital out-of-home media.

For ASM, AJP recently participated in an $8 million facility upgrade project at the Louisville, Kentucky, KFC Yum! Center; technology upgrades at the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, Arizona; and AV design for El Distrito (District Live) in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
U.K.-based rock band Crawlers signed to UMG’s Polydor Records.
Comprised of Holly Minto (vocals and trumpet), Amy Woodall (lead guitar), Liv Kettle (bass guitar) and Harry Breen (drums), Crawlers released their self-titled debut EP – which includes the single “Come Over (Again)” – in October through Modern Sky/Lab Records.
Crawlers are represented by Alfie Skelly and David Pichilingi at Modern Sky.

Natalie Hemby struck a writer management agreement with Jody Williams Songs (JWS) for representation in Nashville.
The agreement will include managing Hemby’s songwriting calendar and pitching select songs in the Nashville market. Mick Management, headed up by Adam Sensenbrenner and Jessica Swan, will continue working with Hemby across her career.
“With the support of Jody Williams and Nina Jenkins running point for me in Nashville, my team is complete,” said Hemby in a statement. “Jody has been a mentor and a friend to me throughout my career.”
The deal follows independent publisher CTM Outlander’s recent signing of the two-time Grammy-winning songwriter-artist and acquisition of her publishing catalog.
Hemby has penned songs for Kacey Musgraves, Miranda Lambert and Lady Gaga, among others. In 2019, she joined Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires to form The Highwomen, which released a self-titled album in 2019. She put out her sophomore solo album, Pins and Needles, on Fantasy Records in October 2021.
Nashville-based company Big Future Music Group inked a joint venture with Truss Records and jointly signed the group I Am They.
I Am They released their debut project in 2015 and earned a GMA Dove Award nomination for new artist of the year. In 2018, the group’s single “Scars” reached No. 2 on Billboard‘s Christian Airplay chart. Managed by Co-Lab Management and booked by Jeff Roberts & Associates, the group is currently on the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular.

The Shalizi Group signed management deals with electronic music producers Svdden Death and Eptic. Both bass music artists have previously worked with The Shalizi Group’s star client, Marshmello — Svdden Death on the 2020 collaborative single “Crusade” and Eptic on Marshmello’s Grammy-nominated 2021 album Shockwave.
The signings bring the artists’ co-managers, Collin Dugger and Adam Knight, to The Shalizi Group. Both were previously with Prodigy Artists. “I’m really excited to have Collin and Adam come over,” said The Shalizi Group CEO Moe Shalizi. “Svdden Death and Eptic are two incredible artists that I’ve been a fan of for a long time.”
Dugger and Knight join The Shalizi Group’s growing management team, which also includes Steven Pahel and Christina Boemio, both of whom joined the company in 2021 and brought in producers Pouya, Getter, Spock and Lucille Croft.
