Producer and signer Channel Tres signed with RCA Records in partnership with Godmode. The label, which just put out Tres’ new single “No Limit,” will release his album Real Cultural Shit this fall. The “Compton house” singer is currently touring North America.
VR concert platform AmazeVR, which recently produced Megan Thee Stallion‘s VR concert tour, raised $17 million in new investments, with an opportunity for additional investors to join the current fundraising round. Including the $15 million bridge round the company raised in 2021, AmazeVR’s current Series B raise stands at $32 million. The company plans to use the new funds to expand partnerships with artists, artist management companies, labels, publishers and agencies, along with hiring more AI engineers, Unreal Engine engineers and VFX artists. It’s preparing to launch its music metaverse service across all major VR app stores in the first half of next year, with a line-up of artists including Megan Thee Stallion.
Songfinch, a platform that allows customers to collaborate with professional songwriters and artists to create custom songs, announced a $17 million Series A funding round led by Valor Siren Ventures, with participation from existing investor Corazon Capital. The company, which has now raised $21.8 million to date, will use the funds to continue scaling its core product and expand its internal team.
Capitol Music Group signed boy band Travis Japan, who will make their international debut with a global release from the label on Oct. 28. The group previously appeared on a pair of U.S.-based reality shows: World of Dance and America’s Got Talent, on which they advanced to the semi-finals.
TuneCore expanded its payments methods in Southeast Asia through a partnership with financial technology platform Ayden. The company has now launched localized payment methods in Indonesia (Dana, with GoPay coming soon), the Philippines (Gcash) and Vietnam (MoMo). TuneCore will push the program out to other countries and regions in the coming months.
WME signed Japanese pop supergroup SG5 — consisting of Sayaka, Rurui Rui, Miyuu and Kaede — for global representation. The group will be represented by Ben Totis and David Bradley. SG5 is co-managed by LDH Japan and Three Six Zero, while songwriter and producer BloodPop is serving as the group’s executive producer and co-creative director. SG5 is an official collaboration with the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon brand.
Warner Music Latina and Lionz, LLC (part of the music-focused artist development company The Lionz Collective) launched a joint record label to turn Barranquilla, Colombia’s rising stars into household names. The venture is being led by Lionz executives Humberto “Humby” Viana, Brian Harrison Alvarez and Dario Jose “DJ Dari” Insignares. On Warner Music Latina’s side, the partnership is being spearheaded by Alejandro Duque, president of Warner Music Latin America, and Hector Ruben Rivera, Warner Music Latina’s senior vp and head of A&R. – Griselda Flores
Newly-formed Dreamcatcher Artists, a full-service record company under the Dreamcatcher Entertainment Group banner with global distribution by Stem, has signed Tenille Arts — already a client of Dreamcatcher Management — to a label deal. Dreamcatcher also acquired Arts’ entire catalog and will release her new single “Jealous of Myself” in the near future.
Country singer Cooper Alan signed with Jarrod Holley and Chris Kappy at Make Wake Artists for management and agent Morgan Kenney at WME. Cooper, who was recently announced as part of the lineup for next year’s Stagecoach festival, is ramping up for a headlining tour this fall. His music is distributed through Cooped Up Records, which he co-founded with Victoria Shaw; his legal representative is Meredith Billings at Keller Turner Andrews & Ghanem.
Position Music and Hive Music jointly signed hip-hop artist Blackway (“What’s Up Danger” with Black Caviar, “Heavyweight”) to a global recording and co-publishing deal.

Music metaverse gaming platform PIXELYNX, founded by Joel Zimmerman (deadmau5) and Richie Hawtin (Plastikman), partnered with creator messaging and CRM platform Laylo for drop notifications and fan engagement. The companies will collaborate to implement Laylo’s full audience management suite and bring its customizable creator messaging and drops platform to artists, creators and brands in ELYNXIR, the debut game from PIXELYNX that will launch later this year.
