The BMW XM Label Red Is the Most Powerful M-Car Ever Built

There’s more to the BMW XM Label Red than just a fascia glossed over with red lipstick — this is the most powerful M-car ever made.

This new, ultimate version of the hybrid V8 super-SUV takes power and torque from 653 HP and 590 lb-ft to a staggering 738 HP and 738 lb-ft, meaning this luxury German behemoth can hit 60 MPH in a supercar-matching 3.7 seconds, before going to a top speed of 175 MPH.

Power is sent to all four wheels via the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, which only enhances the rapid power delivery (accentuated by the electrification that lies beneath the skin) to create the instantaneous performance. And as for EV-only mode, you can expect about 30 miles of real-world range, which is plenty for getting around cities on a daily basis, as Hans Zimmer-produced sounds hum in the background.

But the BMW XM Label Red isn’t really meant for that. As standard, the car comes with the adaptive M suspension Professional — featuring electronically controlled dampers and active roll stabilization — M Sport brakes, and dynamic tuning underpinning the handling department. This is because the XM Label Red is better suited for long luxury road trips or for thrashing around the country lanes, utilizing the car’s powerful hybrid V8.

Furthermore, this specific version of the “Sports Activity Vehicle” features detailing like a “Toronto Red” metallic accent band, red model badges and wheel inserts, 23” rims, and a black-and-red motif inside the futuristic cabin.

The BMW XM Label Red can be seen in the gallery above, while more information can be found online.

Elsewhere in the automotive world, Polestar is working on its fastest car to date.
