The Alchemist has shared an update on Earl Sweatshirt‘s newest album.
Speaking to music critic Anthony Fantano, Alc called the album “incredible” and confirmed that he contributed to project. “I think everybody will be happy. He’s in his bag, as he should be,” he said, adding, “Earl is always working, he’s a master of his craft, so something gets cut all the time. When he decides to press the button, we’ll see. But he’s got loaded guns… Know that he’s hard at work and the magic is there.”
The producer also touched on the collaborative album they secretly uploaded on YouTube earlier this year, “I haven’t heard anything about it, man. It’s still just floating in the matrix… I can’t even really say anything about it. I’ve been sworn to just leave it alone. It was just one day of madness.”
Sweatshirt’s last full-length dates back t0 2018’s Some Rap Songs, but he released the seven-track EP FEET OF CLAY in November 2019. In 2021, he appeared as a guest artist on cuts with Boldy James, Armand Hammer and Wiki.
