The 2024 Tesla Model 3 Turns Sleek With a Refreshed Design

The 2024 Tesla Model 3 made its debut in Europe this week, revealing a face-lifted facade with a sophisticated front end, a technologically advanced cabin, improved squinter headlights and a smooth front bumper.

Initially code-named “Project Highland,” the new-and-improved Model 3 manages to appear much sleeker than its ancestors, with simple lines dividing the vehicle’s external components for a more unified finish. The rear end is much less fussy, with slim taillights, a new rear bumper and Tesla lettering replacing the brand’s logo on the trunk. Notably, the taillights are situated on the car’s trunk lid, meaning the European-style fog lamps can also act as lamp assemblies.

The 2024 Model 3 employs more efficient 18-inch and 19-inch wheels. Additionally, the car is available in two new colorways: Ultra Red and Stealth Grey.

On the inside, the former dashboard’s woodgrain strip is replaced with contrasting trim, just above the vents. Ambient lighting complements the updated dashboard, which houses a 15.4-inch display with thinner bezels, higher brightness and stronger contrast. Two smartphone charging pads are embedded in the center console, and the previous 14-speaker sound system has been upgraded to include 17 speakers. Additionally, an eight-inch touchscreen has been attached to the center console for rear passengers to control the car’s climate and entertainment systems.

The interior’s faux-leather upholstery has been changed to include perforated materials for a more refined look and feel. The car’s front seats now come heated and ventilated as a standard, too. In the back, the Model 3 enlists laminated window glass to reduce noise.

Despite the updates, the 2024 Model 3’s driving range will remain the same as its former model, meaning it can supply 272 miles on the single-motor rear-wheel-drive version and 333 miles on the dual-motor all-wheel-drive model.

Tesla has not revealed when the 2024 Model 3 will hit the American market, though it is likely that it will debut before the end of this year. Take a look at the updated vehicle in the gallery above.
