Teyana Taylor has been cast in the upcoming reboot of White Men Can’t Jump, starring alongside other newly-announced castmates Lance Reddick and Laura Harrier.
Both Taylor and Harrier’s roles are yet to be confirmed, however reports state that Reddick will be taking on the role of Benji Allen. The trio are joining Jack Harlow and Sinqua Walls in the reboot of Ron Shelton’s 1992 sports comedy, with Harlow portraying Woody Harrelson’s original role Billy Hoyle and Walls playing Wesley Snipe’s role that has been renamed to Kamal. Plot details remain under wraps.
The original White Men Can’t Jump premiered in 1992 went on to earn $90,753,806 USD in the global box office. The film was met with positive reviews and recently celebrated its 30th anniversary at the 94th Academy Awards, where all three cast members were present.
