Popular streaming app, Spotify, has named Nigerian songwriter Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, as its ‘EQUAL Africa’ artist for August.
Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s head of music for sub-Saharan Africa, emphasized that Teni’s exceptional musical talent and rising popularity have positioned her as one of the most sought-after names in African music.
Okumu expressed delight in having Teni as the EQUAL Africa program ambassador for August, stating that Teni’s music, commitment to her craft, and increasing fan following truly highlight her as a source of inspiration within the African music realm.

According to Okumu, Teni as an EQUAL Africa artiste will be featured prominently on the Spotify platform.
