Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi better known as Tems has just won her first Grammy award in the “Best Melodic Rap Performance” category.
Tems just won an award for “Best Melodic Rap Performance” at the 2023 Grammy Awards. The award comes from her contribution to Future’s song “Wait For U” which also featured Drake.
“Wait For U” was announced as the “Best Melodic Rap Performance” category winner. Her nomination was widely celebrated by fans and countrymen and this win is even more exciting.
The singer has witnessed such an astronomical rise since her collaboration with Wizkid on “Essence” on the “Made In Lagos” album. With this win, Tems becomes the first Nugerian female artiste to bag a Grammy award.
