GRAMMY Award-winning and Oscar-nominated artist Tems continues her meteoric rise with the release of her visually captivating music video for “Get It Right,” featuring fellow Nigerian superstar Asake.
This latest release is part of her critically acclaimed debut album, Born In The Wild, which has amassed over 614 million streams globally. The album made an impressive debut at No. 5 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart, with 13 tracks dominating the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart.
Following the vibrant visuals for her recent single “Turn Me Up,” which radiated the fiery charm of Kingston, Jamaica, the “Get It Right” video shifts gears, diving into a nostalgic aesthetic inspired by the 1990s and early 2000s.
A testament to Tems’ artistic ingenuity, the music video features striking yin-and-yang imagery, with much of the footage showcasing the singer in a radiant white setting, with her flowing platinum-white hair and shimmering silver fur coat exuding an ethereal elegance. In contrast, Asake introduces a bold, darker energy with his black leather ensembles and earthy tones, creating a rugged and edgy counterpoint. Together, their on-screen interplay enhances the visual narrative, spotlighting their artistic synergy.
