TDE’s Newest Artist Ray Vaughn Drops EP ‘Peer Pressure’

Top Dawg Entertainment has officially announced the inclusion of Ray Vaughn to their growing roster.

To celebrate the signing, the 25-year-old Long Beach, California native dropped off a three-track EP entitled Peer Pressure. The project is meant to tease what fans can expect from Vaughn with TDE, “I’d love to tell you how I created the project, but to tell you the truth, to revisit the place of brutal honesty these songs came from is a chaotic process.” He adds, “Don’t take me too seriously, honestly, just learn to have fun.”

Vaughn is third oldest out of seven children and began to attract popularity with his video series, Freestyle Fridays. Thanks to his relatable messages and unique lyricism, he quickly attracted a larger audience and eventually racked up more than nine million streams on YouTube alone. On top of his solo music, Vaughn has also written for and collaborated with a number of major artists, as well as recently created the theme song for The Freak Brothers with ScHoolboy Q, Woody Harrelson, Pete Davidson, John Goodman and more.
