TaylorMade Golf introduces the third generation of the P790 irons. To address the mission of enhancing one of the most lavish irons they have produced, engineers launched into regenerating the technology that stands at the core.
TaylorMade Golf’s proprietary technology, SpeedFoam Air, is an ultralight urethane foam that lays in the inner part of the forged hollow body fabrication. The blend of an ultra-thin face, hollow-body construction and SpeedFoam produced a forgiving route to maximum distance and playability. The addition of SpeedFoam Air holds noticeable weight savings with an average of 3.5g in individual irons. The redesign gives a sizable redistribution of mass to lower the center of gravity placement and improve launch properties. In addition, it opens the doors to the thinnest face in P790 previous models and is allocated for the foundation of an intelligent sweet spot. The iron heads are manufactured from 8620 carbon steel that sustains vigor and resilience. Lastly, the forged hollow body construction pairs with a responsive 1.5mm forged 4140 steel L-Face to offer flexibility, fast ball speeds, and distance.
The TaylorMade P790 iron set is offered in steel and graphite shafts and is priced at $1,400-1,600 USD. To preorder, visit TaylorMade’s official website and be available at authorized retail stores.
