Taylor Swift Is Officially a Billionaire

Taylor Swift is officially a billionaire. The news comes from Bloomberg amidst the success of her The Eras tour concert and film as well the re-release or “Taylor’s Version” of her earlier studio albums. The financial news organization shared in the article that the 33-year-old singer joins the likes of other billionaire artists like JAY-Z and Rihanna.

According to the publication, Swift’s exact net worth is $1.1 billion USD and includes the analysis of her music catalog, tour revenue, merch sales and more. With her North American ticket sales alone for The Eras tour, Swift broke $2.2 billion USD in revenue allowing her to give her tour crew over $55 million USD in bonuses. Bloomberg Economics also estimated that her total 53 U.S. dates added $4.3 billion USD to the country’s GDP. As for her concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour — which is a nearly three hour theater experience of her performance — has recently become the first-ever concert film to surpass $100 million USD at the box office.

The breakdown of her net worth counts that more than 75% of her net worth coms the value of her music that she has released since 2019. Since 2019, her music releases total to $400 million USD in value while ticket sales and merchandise is $370 million USD. The remaining $300 million USD comes from her YouTube and Spotify earnings while her private properties add up to $110 million USD and her music royalties, $80 million USD. The billionaire status comes just three months after her The Eras tour began. In June, she was 34th on the list of Forbes‘ list of richest self-made women in America. Based on Bloomberg‘s latest report, Swift has likely moved up on that list as well. Most recently, Swift rereleased 1989 (Taylor’s Version).

In other music news, JAY-Z spoke about returning to the studio, “I have to be saying something important.”
