Taylor Swift Filmed a 'Batman'-Inspired Music Video in Liverpool - Cosmopolitan

After her three back-to-back-to-back nights in Arlington, TX, Taylor Swift had an 11-day break in her Eras Tours schedule. We can only assume this was mandated time off that some lawyer forced Taylor to put in the schedule because she has to be violating some kind of labor law by working as much as she does already.

If the reports about her split from Joe Alwyn are true, Taylor started her mini-vacation fresh off seven nights of performing her objectively-grueling (it clocks in at around three hours and 15 minutes, which a grueling amount of time to do almost anything, much less doing said almost anything for an audience) Eras Tour setlist *and* ending a six-year relationship. Oh, and that relationship inspired quite a few of the songs she performs during those three hours and 15 minutes onstage in front of literal millions.

So what did Taylor do with her 11 days of much-deserved (and no doubt much-needed) Me Time? We’ll make it multiple choice. Did Taylor:

A) Immediately slip into an 11-day coma.

B) Spend time relaxing with family and friends, journaling, and listening to Taylor Swift breakup songs on repeat (no judgment—we literally all do it, why shouldn’t she?).

C) Book a family vacation for herself, Meredith, Olivia, and Benjamin to bond/explain that even though mom and dad aren’t together anymore, they’re all still loved just as much as before.

D) Fly across the damn Atlantic Ocean to immediately squeeze in more work.

If you chose A, B, or C: Congratulations on being a very rational person. If you chose D: Congratulations on understanding Taylor’s soul, because she reportedly went with D.

Taylor reportedly used her Eras Tour break to fly to England (Liverpool, specifically) and film a new music video. The Sun reported that she “spent 48 hours there last week, shooting at Scouse land-marks St George’s Hall and the Cunard Building.”

“Taylor loves the history of the landmarks and was excited to film somewhere completely different and unexpected,” a source told the outlet. “She had a break in her touring schedule so decided to use the time to get another video in the bag. She’s feeling more creative and inspired than ever.”

The source didn’t share which song the video is for, but the video itself is reportedly inspired by the movie The Batman and stars Joey King, who also starred in Taylor’s “Mean” music video in 2010.

Since Taylor invites fans to overanalyze things like this for clues, it feels worth pointing out that “Mean” appeared on Speak Now, which Taylor’s “Bejeweled” video strongly hinted would be the next of her re-recorded album releases. This means Joey’s involvement could hint that the video isn’t for a Midnights track at all and could be for a Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) vault song.

Or maybe Taylor already wrote and recorded another brand new album and it’s a video for one of those songs, since the woman must never sleep and secretly be several clones that just never go out in public at the same time because that’s the only explanation I can come up with for how she’s able to do everything she does.
