JAY-Z has dropped a new curated playlist on TIDAL in celebration of Memorial Day weekend. Hov often takes to Twitter to share his personally curated playlists for special occasions with his fans, this time calling it JAY-Z: Montecito.
The playlist highlights some of the biggest name in hip-hop featuring staple tracks from Kanye West, Future, Drake, Tems, Lil Durk, Gunna, EST Gee, 42 Dugg, Babyface Ray and more. The 22-track set also includes tracks off of new albums from Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers and It’s Almost Dry. Jae Murphy can be seen taking center stage in the DJ booth with Hov in the album cover.
JAY-Z often creates his own playlists on TIDAL for the public. In an interview with former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey last summer, Hov even boasted that his “playlist game is A++” and is willing to “challenge anyone out there.” When it comes to his playlist curation abilities, Hove is confident, “I’m definitely, you know, in the top tier of playlist creators.”
Back in 2019, JAY-Z curated a playlist of end of year picks, a playlist dedicated to Nas earlier last year and even one that highlighted his conversation with Dorsey. Check out JAY-Z’s “(mostly) ‘22 vibes” in his latest JAY-Z: Montecito playlist.
