Netflix has just shared a first look at its highly-anticipated horror miniseries, titled Fall of the House of Usher. The show is based on Edgar Allan Poe‘s 1839 short story and directed by Doctor Sleep and The Haunting of Hill House‘s Mike Flanagan.
Scheduled to premiere later this year, Fall of the House of Usher sees Bruce Greenwood play Roderick Usher, who faces his dark past as a wealthy CEO of Fortunato Pharmaceuticals. His powerful status is threatened when his children and company heirs begin dying unexpectedly.
A supernatural shapeshifting woman connected to the family is investigated in the process, speculating that Verna is to blame for the family’s bloodbath. Initial images of Fall of the House of Usher preview Sauriyan Sapkota playing Prospero Usher, Rahul Kohli as Napoleon Usher, and Samantha Sloyan in the role of Tamerlane Usher. The cast also includes Michael Trucco, Robert Longstreet, T’Nia Miller, Igby Rigney, Paola Nuñez, Henry Thomas, Kyleigh Curran, Kate Siegel, and more.
