Director Olivia Wilde on Monday shared a teaser trailer for her hotly-anticipated sophomore effort, Don’t Worry Darling, starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles.
Wilde dropped the new footage on her Twitter, along with the film’s official release date: September 23, 2022. As previously noted, the movie follows “a 1950s housewife living with her husband in a utopian experimental community” who “begins to worry that his glamorous company may be hiding disturbing secrets.” Pugh and Styles star as the aforementioned husband and wife, alongside co-stars Chris Pine, Kiki Laye, Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll and Wilde.

Don’t Worry Darling will be Wilde’s second film as director, following Booksmart in 2019. The multi-hyphenate reunited with Booksmart screenwriter Katie Silberman, who adapted this latest screenplay from a spec script written by Shane and Carey Van Dyke.
Elsewhere, Styles recently kicked off his rescheduled LOVE ON TOUR across the U.S. in support of his 2019 record FINE LINE. Aside from Don’t Worry Darling, the musician-turned-actor is also slated to appear in My Policeman, a romantic drama in which portrays a gay policeman that marries a woman to hide his sexuality in the 1950s. The film does not yet have a release date.
Pugh, on the other hand, will reprise her role in Disney+‘s Hawkeye, after starring in Marvel‘s Black Widow as the titular character.
