Shiro Games has unveiled a gameplay trailer for its upcoming Dune: Spice Wars game.
First revealed at the 2021 Game Awards, Dune: Spice Wars is the first game in the franchise in 20 years and is billed as a “real-time strategy game with 4X elements, from the developers of the critically acclaimed Northgard.” The title, set in Frank Herbert’s epic universe, will require players to “lead your faction and battle for control and dominance over the harsh desert planet of Arrakis.” The trailer also shows that in addition to political warfare, players will need to be cautious of their physical environment with the threats of a Sandworm attacking their units.
