After Twitter Suspended His Account, Facebook Is Indefinitely Banning Donald Trump From Posting

Source: SOPA Images / Getty After all of the racist and outright crazy sh*t that he has said on Twitter that many have warned would eventually lead to yesterday’s bootleg coup, social media companies have said enough. With only 14 days remaining in his nightmare term, Donald Trump, who has been pushing the norms to the limit, has finally done something that both Democrats and a sizeable number of Republicans can agree was absolutely crazy. After urging a mob of his loyal pro-Trump terrorists to storm the U.S. Capitol Building putting the lives of Congress members, Capitol Police, and his own Vice President in danger, Twitter took the unprecedented act to suspend the inciter-in-chief’s account after he continued to spew false information breaking Twitters Rules. In violation of those rules,...

YouTube removes Donald Trump video addressing US Capitol attack

YouTube has removed a video from US President Donald Trump addressing a mob attack on the Capitol today because the president repeats false information about the outcome of the 2020 election. The company will allow Trump’s message to appear in other creators’ videos if there is proper educational or news context; basically, if people are talking about Trump’s message as part of a greater point, YouTube will allow it to remain up. The removal comes after YouTube instituted a new policy update in December 2020 that forbids any type of content that alleges widespread voter fraud impacted the results of the 2020 presidential election. In Trump’s new video, which was also posted to Twitter and Facebook, he continued to spread misinformation about the 2020 election, calling the results fraudulen...

Russia: U.S. broke all rules of world politics

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that the United States (U.S.) created exceptional havoc in world politics by breaking all possible rules, yet a new global war is off the table as long as there is nuclear parity, “Things show that no more ‘red lines’ remain at all. “In world politics, our colleagues from the U.S. created such havoc that all rules were simply broken. “Everything they teach at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations is no longer relevant. “That’s it, all rules were broken,” Mr. Peskov told the SolovyovLive show on YouTube. At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman denied that a new world war is what should be expected to follow the breakage of old rules. “The war is, thank God, impossible so long as there is nuclear parity. “It saves the world from...

COVID-Exorcising Televangelist Goes Heavy Metal in Viral Video: Watch

“Judgement on COVID-19 goes HEAVY METAL [Kenneth Copeland Remix] [I Demand]”, via YouTube Fire-and-brimstone televangelist Kenneth Copeland is unlikely to enter the dark embrace of heavy metal anytime soon, but one YouTube guitarist has made a valid argument for the Texas pastor’s prospects as a metal frontman. Andres Antunes took Copeland’s recent COVID-19 “exorcism” and laid down some riffs under it, creating one of the most chilling and absurd mashups since Metal Trump. Titled “Judgement on COVID-19 goes HEAVY METAL [Kenneth Copeland Remix] [I Demand]”, Antunes’ video is going viral, having already approached 500,000 views. Copeland’s commanding sermons are terrifying in their own right — especially the COVID one — making Antunes’ decision to combine them with metal riffs all the ...

System of a Down’s “Chop Suey!” Video Passes a Billion Views on YouTube

The music video for System of a Down’s classic song “Chop Suey!” has surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube, making it one of few hard rock songs — and arguably the first metal song — to hit that illustrious mark. It’s certainly no surprise — “Chop Suey!” has been a System of a Down staple song since it dropped as the first single from the band’s 2001 masterpiece, Toxicity. It immediately made a huge impact on rock radio, and earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance. As the YouTube numbers prove, the song’s relevance has endured. “Chop Suey!” joins the company of Guns N’ Roses’ “November Rain” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine”, Linkin Park’s “In the End” and “Numb”, and Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in the YouTube billion club. While each of those songs definitely fall in...

Radiohead, Elbow Members Call for Better Streaming Royalties at Opening of UK Parliament Probe

Garvey and Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien were among a group of four artists and two industry analysts that provided evidence on the first day of the inquiry, which is anticipated to stretch for several months and will call upon executives at major labels and streaming platforms to answer questions. The Parliament probe — which so far is being done with witnesses testifying virtually, as the U.K. is in lockdown — is also addressing a lack of transparency in record contracts and opaque accounting practices, safe harbor provisions and the European Copyright Directive, which will hold online user-generated services like YouTube liable for unlicensed content. The inquiry comes at a time when the coronavirus pandemic has decimated income from touring, focusing artists’ attenti...

Dave Grohl and 10-Year-Old Nandi Bushell Plan to Write a Song Together

After providing the music world with some of the most uplifting headlines of the year, Dave Grohl and 10-year-old Nandi Bushell have made plans to record a song together. What’s more, the Foo Fighters frontman has invited the music prodigy to jam with the band once they are able to tour in her home country of England. As we’ve chronicled over the past few months, YouTube sensation Nandi challenged Grohl to a drum battle by playing the Foo Fighters classic “Everlong”. The rock icon accepted her challenge by performing “Dead End Friends” from his supergroup Them Crooked Vultures, and Nandi responded within a week with a beat-for-beat version of the same song. From there, the friendly competition went to a new level, with Grohl writing and performing an original theme song about Nandi, and th...
