Young people, especially girls and young women faced significant barriers in accessing sexual reproductive health information and services before the COVID-19 crisis. Now, due to the pandemic, there is a risk that young people accessing this life-saving information will move even further from their reach. To address this risk, a one-day Community Forum for adolescent girls and young women was organised by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Youth Participatory Platform (YPP) in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Youth in Abesan Youth Center, Alimosho, Lagos. British Record Label Young Turks Changes Name to Young
Influential British record label Young Turks is changing its name. On Tuesday, the label announced the change in a lengthy Instagram post. The term Young Turks has been connotated with a group that carried out the Armenian Genocide in 1915. Founder Caius Pawson said that he had been “unaware of the deeper history of the term” and said that the original name was taken from a Rod Stewart song when it was founded in 2005. Nicole Young, Dr Dre’s estranged wife, has enjoined the court to investigate his alleged mistresses. Young wants the court to check if the music mogul was taking care of the bills of the women and she wants the three women whom she alleged were close with Dre during their marriage to sit for depositions.
