Leeds can sign Okay Yokuslu from Celta Vigo this summer with the La Liga side now desperate to move him on according to a report from Marca. And according to El Desmarque, the former West Brom loanee is up for grabs for just €6 million (£5.2 million). Central midfield is clearly an area where Whites Marcelo Bielsa wants to bolster. The Argentine is seemingly keen to add more tenacity to his engine room at Elland Road. Leeds have been chasing Cagliari ace Nahitan Nandez for quite some time (Leeds Live). As things stand, however, the Uruguayan is just a bit too expensive for the West Yorkshire outfit. Leeds United have been linked with a move for the Celta Vigo midfielder Okay Yokuslu. The midfielder was on loan at West Bromwich Albion during the second half of this season and it seems that his performances have caught the attention of the Elland Road outfit as per Faro de Vigo. The Turkish midfielder is clearly not a key player for the Spanish side and it remains to be seen whether Leeds can secure his services this summer. The 27-year-old defensive midfielder has adapted well to the Premier League and he could make an immediate impact for Marcelo Bielsa’s side if he joins them in the summer. The midfielder’s contract with Celta Vigo expires in the summer of 2023 and it would be fair to assume that the Spanish side will have reasonable demands for him. Leeds could definitely use more d...
West Bromwich Albion improved their slender hopes of avoiding relegation from the Premier League as they survived VAR controversy to beat Southampton 3-0 on Monday. Sam Allardyce’s side saw Mbaye Diagne’s goal questionably ruled out by VAR early in the first half at the Hawthorns. But they recovered from that blow to sweep into a two-goal lead by half-time thanks to Matheus Pereira’s penalty and a Matt Phillips strike. Callum Robinson sealed West Brom’s second successive win after the interval as the Baggies built on their stunning 5-2 victory at Chelsea. Second bottom Albion move within eight points of fourth bottom Newcastle with seven games left. The Baggies have scored eight goals in their last two games, two more than they had netted in their previous 11 combined, but their unexpected...
West Brom manager Sam Allardyce has revealed the reason behind the Baggies decision not to offer Ahmed Musa a contract at the end of his trials with the club. Allardyce insists West Brom weren’t in a position to sign Musa on a short-term deal after the loan captures of Mbaye Diagne, Okay Yokuslu and Ainsley Maitland-Niles towards the end of the January transfer window. The 28-year-old has been without a club since leaving Saudi side Al-Nassr in October of last year but has previous Premier League experience having joined Leicester City in the summer after they were crowned champions in 2016. “We’d already brought four players in, so it didn’t fall within our budget anymore,” Allardyce was quoted by Birmingham Live. “More players would have had to have left to have funded that one. It’s a s...
