Marvel Studios is notoriously known for keeping things tight-lipped at the studio, but in a rare move, it clapped back at X-Men 97 creator Beau DeMayo following claims he made on social media. Featuring old school animation and the original score that 80's babies grew to love on Saturday mornings, the new trailer promises to take us back to a time when a dollar could fetch you a bag of chips, a quarter juice and a Phillies blunt. We. Can't. Wait.
Hopefully we'll see Professor X alongside Wolverine, Spider-Man and other MCU stars alongside each other in a future project.
Fire up the Blackbird, because the classic X-Men: The Animated Series is back! Marvel announced a revival of the beloved Fox cartoon under the title X-Men ’97 last year, and now they’ve revealed a first look at the Disney+ series during this year’s Comic-Con. As previously confirmed, many of your favorite childhood characters will be back for X-Men ’97, as will some of the voices behind them. This includes Rogue (Lenore Zann), Beast (George Buza), Gambit (Chris Potter), Jean Grey (Catherine Disher), Wolverine (Cal Dodd), Storm (Alison Sealy-Smith), Jubilee, and Cyclops. The following editorial is heavy on spoilers… Previously On WandaVision… Though Disney+’s WandaVision has already carved a niche for itself as a risk-taking series unlike anything the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has attempted before, the spinoff series’ most recent installment delivered a reveal in the final seconds of this week’s episode that completely redefines the possibilities in the MCU. “On a Very Special Episode…” — WandaVision’s longest outing yet with nearly double the runtime of the four prior episodes — saw Darcy Lewis (Kat Jenning), Jimmy Woo (Randall Park), and the newly-returned Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) try to find a way in to Westview, the town that Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) has turned into her own fever-dream version of classic sitcoms. With Monica’s...
Disney+ is doing their own thing for October 2020. The Mouse House is mostly opting out of spooky season for some truly out-of-this-world events. There’s the series premiere of The Right Stuff and the highly anticipated sophomore season of their Emmy-winning Star Wars spinoff The Mandalorian. Beyond that, Disney+ is adding a few big titles to their catalogue, specifically Maleficent, X2: X-Men United, Mr. Holland’s Opus, and — watch out — Cheaper by the Dozen 2. They’re also getting the 31st season of The Simpsons. How about that. For those bummed out there are very little Halloween treats — including their dusty diamond-in-the-rough special Halloween Treats — it should be noted that they already have plenty of ghoulish content on the service. Yes, that means Halloweentown. Editors’ ...
The New Mutants is still targeting an August 28th release, though as a summer blockbuster season looks increasingly unlikely, fans shouldn’t be surprised if there’s yet another delay. Disney/20th Century must have figured fans have waited long enough for a good glimpse at the X-Men horror film, however, as they revealed a whole bunch of new footage during the New Mutants Comic-Con@Home panel — including the opening scene and a power-packed trailer. Moderated by Ira Madison III, the panel virtually brought together writer/director Josh Boone and stars Blu Hunt (Danielle Moonstar/Mirage), Maisie Williams (Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane), Anya Taylor-Joy (Illyana Rasputin/Magik), Charlie Heaton (Sam Guthrie/Cannonball), Henry Zaga (Robert da Costa/Sunspot), and Alice Braga (Dr. Cecil...
