Seven Lions Teams Up With Wooli and Amidy for Scorching New Single “Shadows”

Dark and ominous like a wave crashing amidst a storm, Seven Lions has released a new collaboration with Wooli and Amidy called “Shadows.” Following suit of his last release “Foolish Of Me,” the new single delivers a cacophony of melodic energy and deep, rumbling synths that blend with precision. The track isn’t the first time Seven Lions and Wooli have joined forces on a song, but it is the first collaboration with Amidy, and a welcome pairing that represents pure harmony. Amidy has released multiple singles on Seven Lions’ Ophelia Records, including “Fix You” as part of Ophelia Presents: Advent Volume 1 and his recent collaboration with HALIENE called “Already Home.” “Shadows” opens up wi...

Seven Lions Drops Unreleased Collaboration With Wooli and AMIDY at Ubbi Dubbi Festival

Melodic dubstep titans Seven Lions and Wooli are certainly no strangers to collaborating. With massive releases like “Island” with Trivecta and Nevve and “Another Me” with Dylan Matthew and Excision, the two producers have already built an impressive repertoire of collabs. Now, Seven Lions has teased yet another installment in the Seven Lions and Wooli saga. Yesterday, at Texas’ Ubbi Dubbi Festival at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, the Ophelia Records label head dropped a new collab with Wooli titled “Shadows” during his mammoth performance. Needless to say, the crowd was absolutely loving it, as can be seen in the video below. There hasn’t been an official release announcement, so fans are patiently waiting for the collaboratio...

Wooli Returns to Ophelia Records With New Single “The Core”

It’s been over a year since the master bass music producer Wooli dropped a track on Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records, but that streak ends now. Enter “The Core,” an absolute behemoth of a track that combines hardstyle stylings with riddim, dubstep, and psytrance. Ophelia has been on a roll with releasing heavier tracks on the label, which has traditionally leaned more melodic.  Those who were lucky enough to attend Wooli’s headline performance at Insomniac‘s Park ‘N Rave will recognize the single. The track is filled to the brim with massive hardstyle kicks that will induce major neck pain if you aren’t careful. The arpeggiating synths create an interesting listening experience in between the chaos of the production. Wooli has...

Wooli Releases Full Park ‘N Rave Set Featuring Unreleased Music

With in-person concerts on hold in most cities around the world, some promoters have opted to host drive-in shows. Earlier in the month, Wooli took the stage for one leg of Insomniac‘s Park ‘N Rave concert series. In addition to the in-person performance, the event was livestreamed so fans could watch from the safety of their homes. Luckily for those who may have missed the original broadcast, Wooli’s entire set has been uploaded to YouTube. Included in the recording is the unreleased melodic bass hybrid that he teased on New Year’s Day. While it was already known that AMIDY is featured on the track, Wooli tweeted that the ID is actually a collaboration with Seven Lions. This marks the second crossover between the two producers in the past month....

Wooli Previews Massive Upcoming Ophelia Records Release

Earlier in the month of January, Wooli treated fans to a teaser of an unreleased melodic bass hybrid. In case that wasn’t enough, over the weekend, he revealed another new track. On Twitter, Wooli shared a video of the new song being played at a recent drive-in event. Furthermore, in a reply to the preview, he noted that the ID would find its home on Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records. Laced with hardstyle kicks, the stomping tune veers away from the melodic side of the bass spectrum and lands firmly in the neck-breaking range. Considering his first teaser of the month highlighted his melodic side and the second focused on the heavy, the pair represents the perfect example of the versatility fans have come to expect from Rochester producer and DJ. While no specific release date ...

Wooli Smashes into 2021 With Teaser of Unreleased Melodic Bass Hybrid

Starting off the new year with a bang is bass music heavyweight Wooli. Wasting exactly no time in 2021, he recently shared a preview of an unreleased single on New Year’s Day. Similar to some of his fan-favorite tunes, the upcoming release showcases both his melodic and bone-breaking sound design. On Twitter, he shared a generous preview of the new song, showing off close to a minute of what’s to come. While the segment shared is primarily bass-driven, some vocals can be heard throughout. When asked in a reply to his original tweet, Wooli revealed that the vocalist featured on the upcoming track is AMIDY. Looking ahead to the return of festivals, the duo’s tune has all the makings of a main stage dubstep anthem. Guided by the smooth vocals, fans experience ...

Subtronics Drops Blistering 7-Track “String Theory” EP

Since the announcement of his String Theory EP, Subtronics has kept the hype rolling. Four days ago, the prolific producer first announced the EP and quickly followed up by giving fans a teaser of what’s to come by releasing his collaboration with Wooli a day early. Today, his highly-anticipated EP is finally here. Subtronics’ String Theory EP is a lethal 7-track collection that serves as yet another strong addition to his rapidly growing discography. Per usual, the Philly-based bass maestro has included a number of recognizable samples to pair with his impeccable sound design. While the EP is heavily centered around bass music, there’s no lack of diversity between each tune.  Both collaborations on this EP are excellently executed. “Wi...

Subtronics and Wooli Team Up to “Melt Ur Brain” [Premiere]

Bass music all-star Subtronics has been blowing minds for nearly a decade with his cutting-edge, heavy style. Now, he has enlisted the help of fellow dubstep heavyweight Wooli for a mind-bending new collaborative effort. “Melt Ur Brain” seeks to do just what its name suggests, with a unique and trippy sound. A distorted lead synth functions like clockwork, tick-tocking over intense, grinding bass stabs. That synth opens up into a staggering arpeggiated melody, sending the listener even deeper down the rabbit hole as the entrancing vocal sample echoes all around. Previously an ID that was highly sought after by bass-heads and DJs, “Melt Ur Brain” is undoubtedly set to be a mainstay in playlists and DJ sets to come. It’s Subtronics’ first of...
