Club ‘confident’ Newcastle target will sign new deal after rejecting recent bid – Report

According to The Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers are confident that Newcastle United target Dion Sanderson will sign a new deal with the club. It’s believed that talks are ongoing regarding a potential new deal for the defender and that Wolves have an option to extend his contract by a further year. Spurs will strike gold if Nuno can hijack deal for £34m Arsenal target this summer – SL View

Nuno Espirito Santo has become the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur, the club confirmed yesterday. The Portuguese will now work alongside Fabio Paratici in bringing in the right profile of players at Spurs to bolster the squad ahead of next season. While keeping hold of Harry Kane should be top priority, the north London club must also look to add quality players in defence and midfield this summer. Last summer, Spurs added depth in midfield by landing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and he turned out to be a smart addition for the club. However, Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko have been disappointing and the duo should be offloaded this summer. With that in mind, Tottenham should make a move for Ruben Neves this summer. Nuno knows Neves very well having coached him at Wolves. The Portugal internati...

1 from Portugal, 1 from France, 2 from Netherlands – Euro 2020 Best XI of Round 3

The group stage has come to an end, and now we have to endure two whole days without Euro 2020 action. How will we cope? At least the groups ended on a cracker, with several exceptional performances from the final round of fixtures. Here is our best XI from round three of Euro 2020. Lukas Hradecky (GK) – It feels a bit bizarre to include someone who scored an own goal, but here we are. Hradecky kept Finland in the game for as long as possible, producing several excellent stops to keep Belgium out before being cruelly robbed of his clean sheet. Nelson Semedo (RB) – The selection of right-backs from the latest round of fixtures was somewhat slim, but Nelson Semedo gets in for a solid performance. He got a lot of criticism for his performance against Germany, and many feared that it...

Wolves are reportedly keen on signing Olympiacos star

Wolverhampton Wanderers have identified Jose Sa as a potential replacement for goalkeeper Rui Patricio, according to Sky Italia. Patricio was recently linked with a move to Roma, and the opportunity to play under Jose Mourinho may be something that appeals to the Portugal national team goalie. Wolves may also be keen to get a fee for a player who is now 33-years-old if a good offer is tabled. Patricio has been on Wolves’ books since 2018 and has played a key role as the club has established itself in the Premier League. Sa has been the first choice goalkeeper for Olympiacos since 2019. He previously played for Porto, serving as cover for then first-choice keeper Iker Casillas. The 28-year-old had a short stint as the first-choice shot-stopper for the Portuguese giants before leav...
