The long-in-the-works sequel may finally on the way. Beetlejuice 2 in the Works with Original Cast and Jenna Ortega: Report Alex Young
Twenty-five years ago, 20th Century Fox released the fourth Alien film, and with it brought its once-lucrative franchise to a screeching halt. Yet, despite the fact that Alien Resurrection is maybe the worst of the four original Alien films, it’s probably the one I’ve seen the most times. I keep coming back to it, over and over, as a fascinating mismatch between writer and director that, on paper, should have been legitimately amazing. I keep wanting to understand it. Every time, I fail. But I still come away fascinated by the sheer fact of its existence. Resurrection features the fourth (and to date final) appearance of Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley, who we originally met as a humble space trucker in the first Alien, before she became one of the galaxy’s sole living experts on the terr...
The first installment of Stranger Things Season 4 dropped this week, and along with it came an appropriately ’80s-tinged soundtrack. Stranger Things: Soundtrack from the Netflix Series, Season 4, Volume I is available to stream below. The Season 4 Stranger Things soundtrack was once again compiled by show creators The Duffer Brothers and music supervisor Nora Felder. Along with classics like Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer,” The Beach Boys’ “California Dreamin’,” and KISS’ “Detroit Rock City,” the Season 4 soundtrack includes a new version of Journey’s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” remixed by Bryce Miller and Alloy Tracks. Yet the most exciting soundtrack inclusion — at least to star Winona Ryder — may be Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill.” “I’ve been obsessed with her since ...
The Pitch: While it’s been three years (and an entire pandemic) since we last saw Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), and the rest of the denizens of Hawking, Indiana in the third season of Stranger Things, for them it’s only been six months. The Battle of Starcourt Mall kicked off a host of changes for our heroes, both young and old, with Eleven choosing to move to California with the Byerses, leaving Mike, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and the others to struggle with the cliques and clashes of high school on their own. And growing up is hard, even for Demogorgon slayers — Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) has joined the basketball team in an attempt to shake off the nerd cred Mike and Dustin cling to, while Max (Sadie Sink) is still mourning the death of brother Billy last se...
The long-in-development Beetlejuice sequel has apparently found new life thanks to an unlikely source: Brad Pitt. According to Jeff Sneider of The Ankler, Pitt’s production company Plan B has officially boarded Beetlejuice 2, with the goal of getting cameras rolling as soon as this summer. Sneider adds that original Beetlejuice stars Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder are set to reprise their roles, and Tim Burton is likely to return to the director’s chair. For obvious reasons, Alec Baldwin is not involved. Advertisement Related Video Rumors of a Bettlejuice sequel have persisted for years, with Burton, Keaton, and Ryder all expressing various degrees of interest in the project. In 2015 it appeared as if Burton had finally gotten the green-light from Warner Bros. to move ahead on a sequel, b...

Timothée Chalamet stars as Edward Scissorhands’ son, Edgar Scissorhands, in a new Super Bowl commercial for Cadillac. The Dune actor is joined by Winona Ryder, who famously starred as Kim Boggs in Tim Burton’s original Edgar Scissorhands movie. Young Edgar faces many of the same challenges as his famous pops. Throughout the 60-second advert, he mistakenly cuts a bus pull chord, pops a football, and disrupts a school science presentation (fuckin’ magnets, how do they work?). He is, however, a talented sandwich maker, and thanks to Cadillac’s hands-free driving technology, he’s also able to drive a car. Compared to most high-priced Super Bowl ads staring A-list talent, Chalamet’s Edgar Scissorhands certainly hits the mark. And with original star Johnny Depp currently in Hollywood e...
