The Chainsmokers, Galantis, More to Headline Blended Festival 2022
Presented by My Wine Society, Blended Festival has announced the return of its two-day music, art, wine and culinary extravaganza. Blended will return to Nashville on September 10th and 11th. The event will then head to Austin on the 24th and 25th before hitting San Diego on October 8th and 9th. Additionally, the fest’s organizers recently announced their expansion to a fourth city, Tampa, which is scheduled for November 19th and 20th. The headliners for Blended 2022 include dance music heavyweights such as The Chainsmokers, Galantis, Loud Luxury and Timmy Trumpet. The eclectic lineup also boasts Lil Jon, Borgeous and a bevy of local DJs and musical acts to be announced in the coming weeks. Fake wine factory uncovered in Delta
The Delta State Police Command on Thursday said operatives have uncovered a factory where fake wine was being produced for public consumption. Acting Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Bright Edafe, who made this known in Asaba, said the suspected sole manufacturer of the fake wine was now cooling his heels in police custody. Edafe said operatives of the State Anti-Cult Unit (SACU) made the breakthrough during a sting operation in collaboration with civilian anti-cult volunteer corps. He said the suspect, one Kenneth Ajie, allegedly converted his house in Amadaga community in Ovwian, Udu, to the illegal factory where he produces the fake alcohol. Uganda’s long-time leader Yoweri Museveni held a commanding lead in a presidential election according to partial results on Saturday morning, with final results expected later in the day, though his main rival Bobi Wine alleged widespread fraud. With ballots from 86% of polling stations counted, Museveni had won 5.3 million, or 58.8%, while main opposition candidate Wine had 3.1 million votes (34.6%), the electoral commission said just after 9 a.m. (0600 GMT). Ugandan opposition presidential candidate Bobi Wine said soldiers raided his home on Tuesday and arrested his security guards, two days before an election. “The army has this morning raided my home, arrested all my security guards and anyone they could see around my premises,” Wine, who is the opposition frontrunner, said on Twitter. “No reason for the arrest was given,” he said.
