Lagos: Seven die in auto crash on Lekki-Epe Express road
At least seven people have been confirmed dead in an accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon at the Lekki-Epe Express Road, Lagos. The crash involved a Lexus SUV with registration number: AGL953GQ, which ran into a moving Howo truck with registration number ICT-15E-025, killing all occupants in the Lexus SUV. A total of seven adults, comprising two males, five female, lost their lives in the crash. The Lagos Sector Commander of The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide, confirmed the death in a statement. He said that auto crash occurred on the Lekki-Epe Expressway at Shapati (Fragend) around 1 pm and claimed the lives of seven youths. Presidency: Aso Rock clinic now self-sufficient
The Presidency has said that the Aso Rock Clinic is now fully self-sufficient, saying medical service delivery has improved at the facility. FRSC goes tough on motorists using phones on wheels
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Lagos Sector Command has warned motorists using phones on wheels or be arrested . The agency gave the warning on Sunday , saying that it has observed with dismay the rampant use of phone by motorists while driving on the road. In a statement by the Route Commander Olabisi Sonusi Sector Public Education Officer, he stated that the Sector Commander of FRSC, Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide, said the corps had noticed a rising disregard of traffic and safety regulations which forbid the use of phone behind wheels. BMW launches new flagship iX electric SUV with 300 miles of range
BMW unveiled its next electric vehicle, the iX SUV, with 300 miles of range and gorgeous minimal interior. The iX is BMW’s technological flagship, meaning it incorporates multiple technologies that will be featured in the German automaker’s upcoming vehicles, mainly electric powertrain and driver interface. The BMW iX will be the first vehicle to feature the automaker’s fifth-generation scalable EV technology, which means it can be adjusted to accommodate vehicles of different sizes and utility.
