The domestic transfer window runs until the 16th of August and the two London clubs are looking to make the most of that opportunity. Both teams have been linked with a quite a few defenders this summer but they are yet to sign a quality centre back. Rodon is highly talented and he is one of the best players in the Championship. He could prove to be a superb long-term investment for either side. As per Wales Online, Tottenham could swoop in for the 22-year-old in the coming days. It will be interesting to see where Rodon ends up later this month. He is ready for a step up to the Premier League although he might need some time to develop into a starter for a club like Tottenham. Spurs lost Jan Verto...
The Premier League transfer window for international deals concluded at 11 pm last night and a number of clubs were able to land their desired targets before the deadline. However, there was plenty of disappointment for some teams. A few failed to make any noticeable improvement to their squads while others had to settle for different signings than those initially desired. There is still a domestic transfer window open until October 16 whereby the top-flight clubs can trade players with EFL sides. Still, that may not entirely shrug off the disappointment of the supporters of some teams. Let’s have a look at the losers of the Premier League summer transfer window. West Ham United The Hammers experienced a difficult international transfer window and they ended up making just one new addition...
According to The Sun, West Ham United and Chelsea had agreed to terms of a loan move for England international centre-back Fikayo Tomori last night, but he changed his mind 10 minutes to the transfer deadline. The London clubs agreed to a loan fee and the division of wages, and the deal was on the brink of going through. However, the 22-year-old decided against leaving Chelsea for West Ham on a temporary basis, and will now look to force his way into manager Frank Lampard’s plans. It dealt a huge blow on the Hammers transfer plans as it was too late to move for another centre-back in the EPL or outside of England by the time Tomori had a sudden change of heart. Manager David Moyes wants a centre-back, and West Ham have only been able to sign a right-back thus far this summer, bringing in V...
According to The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, West Ham United have reached an agreement to cancel the contract of midfielder Jack Wilshere by mutual consent. I am told that West Ham have reached an agreement to cancel Jack Wilshere’s contract by mutual consent #whufc — Jacob Steinberg (@JacobSteinberg) October 5, 2020 The 28-year-old is in the final months of the three-year £100,000-a-week contract he signed when he joined the Hammers from Arsenal in the summer of 2018. Injuries and lack of form have restricted him to just 19 games across all competitions, and he is clearly not in manager David Moyes’ plans going forward. Skint West Ham want to make necessary squad changes this summer and aren’t willing to retain the services of Wilshere any longer. Paying the wages of the midfielder ...
West Ham could make a move to sign the Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori before the transfer window closes. According to Football London, Chelsea have five centre backs at their disposal right now and they would like to move one of them on before the deadline. The likes of Silva, Zouma and Rudiger are all ahead of the 22-year-old in the pecking order. Fikayo Tomori is a talented young defender who needs to play regularly in order to continue his development and a move to West Ham United could be ideal for him. Apparently, the London club would be interested in a loan deal until the end of the season. West Ham need to add more defensive depth and a loan deal for the Chelsea defender should prove to be a smart move. If Chelsea are looking to move one of their defenders on before the window clos...

West Ham United have submitted a bid for the Croatian defender Duje Caleta-Car. According to GFFN, the 24 year old would be available this summer but West Ham’s offer is thought to be way off the required asking price. It will be interesting to see if the Hammers improve their offer for the Marseille defender in the coming hours. There is no doubt that the Hammers need to improve at the back if they want to secure a respectable finish in the Premier League this season. David Moyes needs to bring in a quality long-term partner for Issa Diop and the 24 year old Croatian certainly fits the profile. A move to the Premier League would be the ideal next step in Caleta-Car’s career and he is likely to be tempted to make the move. West Ham United certainly have the resources to pull off a signing ...
West Ham United are thought to be keen on signing the Barcelona midfielder Rafinha Alcantara. The Brazilian is a target for Italian club Torino as well. It will be interesting to see where he ends up this summer. According to Mundo Deportivo, West Ham have asked about the midfielder and Rafinha is valued at €16 million this summer. Barcelona are looking to sell the player this summer and it will be interesting to see if West Ham United can agree on a fee with the Spanish giants. The 27-year-old midfielder is not a key part of Ronald Koeman’s first-team plans and he was on loan at Celta Vigo last year. Rafinha would add passing quality and creativity to West Ham’s midfield if he joins the club. The reported asking price seems quite reasonable as well and West Ham should look to get the...
West Ham are interested in signing the Valencia defender Mouctar Diakhaby. The Hammers have been linked with quite a few defenders this summer and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with a concrete offer for Diakhaby in the coming hours. With just three days left in the window, West Ham will have to act quickly if they want to sign him. As per Super Deporte, Fulham are keen on signing the defender as well and remains to be seen where the player ends up eventually. Both clubs need defensive quality and Diakhaby would be a superb signing for them. West Ham are probably a better project and they have a greater chance of staying in the Premier League at the end of this season. Therefore, the player could be tempted to snub Fulham. Apparently, Valencia are looking for a fee of a...
