Report: West Bromwich Albion favourites to sign West Ham United attacker permanently

West Bromwich Albion are in advanced negotiations with West Ham United over a permanent deal for Robert Snodgrass, Sky Sports News reports. The Baggies are currently second-last in the Premier League and they find themselves six points adrift of safety after 17 games into the season. Sam Allardyce will obviously look to strengthen his side with the transfer window open and it appears that he is keen on landing the experienced Snodgrass. The Scotland international has fallen out-of-favour under manager David Moyes this term and he has made only six appearances in all competitions. Out of that, only three have come in the Premier League where the attacker has managed just three minutes, coming off the bench in the final moments of games. With under six months left on his contract, the Hammer...

‘Shadow of his normal self’: Some Leeds fans destroy ‘awful’ player v West Ham

Leeds United suffered back-to-back defeats after being beaten 2-1 by West Ham at Elland Road on Friday night. The Whites took an early lead through Mateusz Klich who scored from the spot after Patrick Bamford was brought down by Lukas Fabianski. It needed help from VAR, although David Moyes said after the match that the officials are making “terrible decisions”. The first effort from Klich was tame and it was easily saved by Fabianski. However, VAR suggested that Fabianski was off the line when the kick was taken, allowing Klich to re-take the penalty. Klich didn’t make any mistake in the second attempt. They can notice Fabianski is an inch off his line but can’t see Bamford is a couple of yards inside the penalty area before Klich re-takes the penalty 🤨 I̵...

‘Really disappointing’, ‘I just don’t agree’: Some Leeds fans react to what Bielsa said after defeat

Leeds United suffered a 2-1 defeat against West Ham in the Premier League clash at Elland Road on Friday night.  It was a lacklustre performance from the home side, and the Hammers deserve the credit for securing all three points after coming from behind. The victory has taken them to fifth in the league table. Bielsa took off Jack Harrison and Ezgjan Alioski on the break. It looked like a smart decision, although Helder Costa hardly had any impact after coming on. In the 74th minute, Bielsa took off Patrick Bamford, and he was replaced by Tyler Roberts. It left many Leeds fans puzzled as to why Bielsa didn’t use Pablo Hernandez when the Spaniard was available on the bench. After the match, the Argentine explained that he wanted Roberts to play up front. Roberts failed to make an...

Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice respond to Tottenham Hotspur star’s Instagram post

Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips and West Ham United star Declan Rice have responded to Tottenham Hotspur Hotspur ace Eric Dier’s post on Instagram. Dier, who can play as an defensive midfielder or as a central defender, has expressed his delight on Instagram at making his 250th appearance for Tottenham at the weekend. The 26-year-old England international was in action for Spurs in their 1-0 win against West Bromwich Albion away from home at The Hawthorns in the Premier League on Sunday. Dier, who has been on the books of Spurs since 2014 when he joined from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, is delighted to have made his 250th appearance for the North London club. The defender’s England international teammates – Leeds midfielder Phillips and West Ham’s Rice, who can play as a defe...

Liverpool players react to Premier League win vs West Ham on Twitter

Liverpool go top of the Premier League table with a hard-earned 2-1 victory against West Ham United on Saturday at Anfield. The Reds came from behind to seal all three points, with summer signing Diogo Jota scoring for the third straight game. The Hammers – who were undefeated in their last four Premier League games prior to their visit to Anfield – took an early lead through Spanish midfielder Pablo Fornals, taking full advantage of a poor headed clearance by Joe Gomez. Liverpool restored parity shortly before the break. Arthur Masuaku committed a foul on Mohamed Salah (which David Moyes interpreted as a dive from the Egyptian after the match) that allowed the Reds talisman to equalise from the penalty spot. With five minutes remaining from the normal time, Jota found the n...

Manchester City flight redirected ahead of West Ham clash

Manchester City’s flight to London had to be rerouted after a technical issue on the plane meant that they could not land at their scheduled destination. The first-team squad flew to the capital on Friday ahead of City’s lunchtime Premier League clash with West Ham United. But their flight had to redirected from City Airport to London Stansted more than 30 miles away. Goal reports that there was a problem with the plane’s anti-skid system which meant that it could not land at an airport with a short runway. The team suffered a slight delay ahead of travelling to the hotel before Saturday’s clash. It is understood that there was no fault on the part of the airport but the flight would not have needed to be rerouted had it been scheduled to land at a major airport. In 2016, a City team fligh...

Manchester United in buoyant mood ahead of clash with Chelsea

Manchester United will approach Saturday’s home English Premier League (EPL) clash with Chelsea in buoyant mood rather than in trepidation. This is after a week which has gone some way to banishing the gloom that was descending on Old Trafford. After going into this month’s international break with a 6-1 home defeat by Tottenham Hotspur, they have emerged from it with a couple of victories which have kick-started their campaign. Last weekend’s 4-1 win at Newcastle United was followed by a 2-1 victory away to Paris St-Germain (PSG) in the UEFA Champions League. For now at least, the critics have been silenced. Chelsea’s visit, however, presents a test of Manchester United’s upswing as they seek their first home league points of the season. This is in the wake of defeats by Crystal Palce and...

Frank McAvennie suggests Danny Rose for West Ham United

Frank McAvennie has suggested to Football Insider that Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose would be a good signing for West Ham United. The former West Ham striker believes that Rose would push West Ham left-back Aaron Cresswell for a place in the starting lineup. Rose, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle United, has been left out of Tottenham’s Premier League and Europa League squads. The England international left-back is out of contract at Spurs at the end of the season, and there is a very good chance that the 30-year-old may have played his final game for the North London club already. Football Insider reported this week that Tottenham are planning to hold talks with Rose over terminating his contract and coming to an agreement over a pay-off, as covered on...

West Ham reportedly make move for player who impressed Jack Collison this month

West Ham United have made an offer for Brentford star Said Benrahma, according to 90min.  It has been reported that the Hammers have submitted an offer of £17 million plus add-ons for the Algeria international, who can operate as a winger or as a forward. The Premier League made their bid for the 25-year-old on Friday evening, and although Brentford are yet to officially respond to the offer, the Championship value the attacker at closer to £25 million. Said Benrahma Stats Benrahma has played 39 minutes in the Championship for Brentford so far this season, according to WhoScored. Last season, the attacker made 42 starts and four substitute appearances in the league for the Bees, scoring 17 goals and providing nine assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
