The Bride of Frankenstein Returns With Debut Vinyl Release and New Figurine

It’s a perfect season for mystery and horror and spooky merch. Waxwork Records is delivering on all three with their forthcoming releases tied to Universal’s 1935 Gothic masterpiece The Bride of Frankenstein. In celebration of the film’s 85th anniversary, they’re bringing Franz Waxman’s score to vinyl and evolving their new series of figurines. Proving it’s always better late than never, the debut vinyl release of Waxman’s score features re-mastered audio, new artwork by Phantom City Creative, black and white vinyl, a booklet that includes artwork and original scoring session photography, in addition to liner notes by album producer and restoration engineer Mike Matessino. Rob Zombie’s Halloween Soundtracks Finally Heading to Vinyl

Fall is upon us and just begging for a return trip to Haddonfield, Illinois. Waxwork Records has some tricks and treats for the occasion as they’ve announced the debut vinyl release of the soundtracks to Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II. What a treat, indeed. Both soundtracks feature score cues by composer Tyler Bates, select dialogue from the movie, and songs from the respective films, which range from Alice Cooper and Kiss to The Moody Blues and Motörhead. Both also come pressed on colored 180 gram vinyl and feature exclusive liner notes by Rob Zombie, a booklet of unseen set photography from Zombie’s personal collection, a 12”x12” art print insert, and beautiful new artwork by Robert Sammelin. John Carpenter’s The Fog and Escape from New York Scores Receive Vinyl Reissues

There’s always room for more John Carpenter in your vinyl collection. Today, Waxwork Records has announced 40th anniversary reissues for two of his most iconic scores: 1980’s The Fog and 1981’s Escape from New York. Both soundtracks have been expanded and remastered from their original master tapes, pressed to 180-gram colored vinyl, given new artwork, and packaged with 12″x12″ booklets featuring unreleased behind-the-scenes set photography. More specifically, The Fog will be placed on “Ghost Eyes” colored vinyl (clear with red circles) or “The Fog” colored vinyl (white and sea-blue Swirl).
