Kaspersky experts have analysed 69 popular third-party mobile applications designed to control connected cars and defined the main threats drivers may face while using them. They found out that more than half (58%) of these applications use the vehicle owners’ credentials without asking for their consent. On top of this, one in five of the applications have no contact information, which makes it impossible to report a problem. Operatives of the Kaduna Police Command have arrested a suspected bandit around Kudaru forest in Saminaka, Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State and intercepted a Volkswagen vehicle and AK47 rifle. The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Muhammed Jalige, in a statement he released on behalf of the Police Commissioner, Umar Muri, said the suspect identified as Bello Abubakar was arrested during a shoot out. Volkswagen shared the ad in question, promoting its latest vehicle the Golf 8, on its Instagram page.
