Nigerian doctor named one of TIME’s Most Influential People in the world

TIME named Nigerian physician Tunji Funsho to the 2020 TIME100, its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. The full list and related tributes are available now at time.com/time100, and Mr Funsho’s TIME100 profile is available here. The list, now in its seventeenth year, recognizes the activism, innovation and achievement of the world’s most influential individuals. Miami’s III Points Festival Shares 2021 Dates and Stacked Lineup With Eric Prydz, ZHU, Wu-Tang Clan, More

After the morose yet unsurprising postponement of its 2020 edition due to the impact of COVID-19, Miami’s III Points Music Festival is bouncing back with a stacked lineup in 2021. Originally scheduled for May 1st and 2nd, 2020 in the heart of Miami, the next edition of III Points will return to Mana Wynwood from April 30th to May 1st, 2021. A number of artists on the original 2020 lineup have been confirmed for the rescheduled fest, including Wu-Tang Clan and Kaytranada. He is giving back to the community by empowering the next generation of visionaries. As spotted on Vogue the designer is giving back to people of color. In an interview with the fashion trade magazine he announced that he is launching a new program that will help empower the black creatives of tomorrow. The “Virgil Abloh Post-Modern Scholarship Fund” is slated to fund schooling “for students of academic promise of Black, African-American, or of African descent.” The monies are said to be donated by Abloh and his partners Louis Vuitton, Evian, the New Guards Group (the luxury holdings company Off-White belongs to) and Farfetch. The 19-track collection is the first Pop Smoke release since the Brooklyn-bred rapper was shot dead earlier this year in his Hollywood Hills home at the age of 20. It follows his 2019 breakout, Meet the Woo, and his Meet the Woo 2 mixtape, which dropped just seven days before his passing.
