FTX miniseries gets go ahead, covering the ‘most brazen frauds ever committed’

An eight-episode limited series exploring the unraveling and scandals behind sunken crypto exchange FTX and its leadership is slated to soon begin production. The series has been purchased by technology conglomerate Amazon, and will likely air on Amazon’s video streaming service Prime. It’s understood to be based on “insider reporting” from journalists covering FTX and its founder Sam Bankman-Fried according to a Nov. 23 report from the entertainment magazine Variety. Brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, famed for directing Avengers: Endgame and multiple other Marvel-owned movies are reported to have sold the idea to Amazon and are slated to direct the mini-series. Dillon Francis to Write, Star In Adult Animated Comedy Series On FailArmy

Dillon Francis is taking his channel-surfing sensibilities to the big screen as the star of a new social media-based streaming series.  The show, titled Couch Kings, will see the hit-making DJ working alongside his childhood best friend, Eric Hamilton. The series, consisting of four initial episodes, goes live on FailArmy’s social media channels this week. Each animated episodes represents a day in the life of Francis and Hamilton as they navigate a series of wacky, absurd, and sometimes gut-busting scenarios all originating from the comfort of their home sofa. Monstercat to Become First Record Label to Launch Video Streaming Service

Monstercat will soon become the first record label to launch a video streaming service. EDM.com has learned that the renowned electronic music tastemaker is planning to announce a dedicated video streaming service called Monstercat+, preparing to lock horns with nascent OTT media platforms such as Peacock and Discovery+, among others.  Electronic music duo Half An Orange, who have released a triptych of EPs called Mostly We Grow on Monstercat, took to Twitter yesterday to announce their own branded reality show, inadvertently revealing Monstercat+ before deleting the tweet within minutes.
