Wolfsburg were the better of the two sides in the first half, even though they had far less possession. They got their reward when Pongračić headed in Arnold’s free-kick. In the second half, Wolfsburg got a lucky second goal, as Arnold’s free-kick took a massive deflection on its way to goal. Victor then set Steffen up for a third, and the win seemed sealed for Wolfsburg. Pongračić scored another header after almost a mirror free-kick from Arnold, to make it four.
