Dave Franco to Play Vanilla Ice in New Biopic

Dave Franco is set to play Vanilla Ice in a biopic about the “Ice Ice Baby” rapper. In a wide-ranging interview with Insider, Franco elaborated on the news of his casting and how he sees the film playing out. “We have been in development for a while but we are inching closer and closer to preproduction,” Franco said of the film, the news of which was quietly revealed last year. He compared the project favorably to The Disaster Artist, the 2017 movie about filmmaker Tommy Wiseau that starred Franco and his brother James. (Wiseau directed and starred in the 2003 cult classic The Room. Two women have been exposed as house Negros. As spotted on Madam Noire the females who defaced the Black Lives Matter mural last week in midtown Manhattan have been identified. On Saturday, July 18 two Black women were seen on video vandalizing the street art in front of Trump Tower 5th Avenue. The scene was a crazy one as the general public was astonished and mortified to see people of color defiantly go against the BLM movement. A few weeks ago, the festival formerly known as Herd Immunity announced that it would be taking place July 16-18 in rural Wisconsin. Despite some bands dropping off the bill, the festival featuring Static-X, Saving Abel and ’90s rockers Sponge actually happened. “Things are going GREAT people are being very respectful. Semisonic Follow a Little Boy’s Adventure in ‘You’re Not Alone’ Video

After dropping their first song in two decades last month, Semisonic have just released the video for “You’re Not Alone.” “For the new Semisonic video, ‘You’re Not Alone,’ we began with memories of childhood in the woods,” frontman and songwriter Dan Wilson said in a statement. “Filmmaker Phil Harder creates a fable of the woods, the city, a distant beach, and a young boy who places a message in a bottle and sends it on a long journey.” Wilson explained that the visual was partially inspired by Richard Powers’ 2019 novel, The Overstory as well as painter Tomas Sanchez’s work. One of Sanchez’s paintings has been chosen as the art for the sleeve of the single. Bob Mould is back with another new song from his upcoming album, Blue Hearts, which is due out this fall. Entitled “Forecast of Rain,” the Mould, also a member of Hüsker Dü and Sugar, accompanied the release with a lyric video that also shows him singing along to the song. Mould previously released “American Crisis” last month.
