The stripped-down release, recorded in October 2018, is the singer-songwriter’s fifth album and features alternate versions of nine of the songs from 2019’s lush and cinematic All Mirrors record. The “Waving, Smiling” video was shot by Ashley Connor at Asheville, North Carolina’s Masonic Temple, and the song finds Olsen digging deep. She explained in a statement that, “‘Waving, Smiling’ in my head is the last scene, a slow-motion realization of love not lost but at peace somewhere within myself. It’s the bittersweet end of a chapter of my life — it is the final acceptance that despite coming to an end all of that time was not lost or wasted.” Watch the song below: [embedde...

From that session, the band recorded a version of the Stooges’ “Fun House.” To celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Stooges’ second album, the group has unearthed “Fun House.” The cut features guitarist Asheton with Mudhoney’s Mark Arm on vocals and Sabir Mateen on tenor sax. The original version of the song is 7:45; this version stretches to nearly 12 minutes. Anoth...

Over the weekend, a Twitter user with low follower and tweet counts posted a very rough reference track snippet for “SICKO MODE,” Scott and Drake’s 2018 multi-platinum smash hit. The caption claimed G.O.O.D. Music artist and songwriter CyHi The Prynce “singlehandedly wrote most of Travis Scott’s hit songs off of Astroworld.” Soon after, another snippet posted for “Coffee Bean.” HipHop-N-More did a little digging on “SICKO MODE” in Tidal and found 30 artists and composers credited on the song, include CyHi under his real name, Cydel Young. Source: @6ix9ine / Instagram Hip-Hop’s most hated troll is up to his old tricks again. This time the rainbow haired stool pigeon used a late great to get some shine. As spotted on HipHopDX, Tekashi 6ix9ine paid a trip to California. His visit for the most part didn’t produce any big headlines he did make a calculated pit stop to the Crenshaw area of Los Angeles. There he captured some footage of him paying respects to the late great Nipsey Hussle via a graffiti mural. While it has become common practice for rappers to pay homage to King Nip when they are in town everything about this moment screamed to be a reach for attention.
