Source: Shareif Ziyadat / Getty As the world continues to wait on pins and needles over the 2020 election humor is in high demand right now. One reality television star got some comedic relief from a misfired tweet. As spotted on Hot New Hip Hop a meme with good intentions didn’t connect as intended but went viral as a funny fail. An account @Vesta shared a photo collage that featured Joe Budden one side and a pile of pennies on the other side. The quote was “a lot of y’all are lacking” inferring that folks need some common sense. Given that the photo should have been rapper Common, who says he and Tiffany Haddish are still a thing, the miss quickly turned the meme into a whole different meme. So much so that it landed on Cyn Santana’s radar. The “Walk With Me” rapper’s former love qu...
Our annual list of 10 Christmas gifts for travellers, be they bookworms, shutterbugs, adrenaline junkies or culture vultures I welcomed 2020 with friends in Milan. It was going to be a big year for me and, in some ways, it was. Take It Back came out in paperback in March and its follow-up, Truth Be Told, was out in September. I launched Asian Booklist, a non-profit organisation that helps readers discover new books by British-Asian authors and I finished the first draft of my next novel – all while running Atlas & Boots. Meanwhile, Peter climbed one of the seven summits in January. He managed to fit in treks in Germany and Croatia, and completed the ‘microchallenge’ of climbing all 41 mountains in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. On the flip side, we had trips to Gambia, ...
Former Creed drummer Scott Phillips – a member of AlterBridge, along with ex-Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti and bassist Brian Marshall since 2004 – has said that Creed’s reforming is a “possibility.” That’s not a threat either. In the Nov. 4 interview with site audioinkradio.com, the drummer gave a nebulous quote informing that there’s “always talk every now and then of the possibility of us getting back together and doing some stuff.” The journalist, Anne Erickson, asked Phillips about a potential reunion since Creed recently updated their social media with a classic photo. Phillips was unaware of that move by his former band, replying, “That’s interesting. I’m the worst when it comes to social media. We’re all in a good spot right now where we feel like we have a good relationsh...

Additionally it will legalize magic mushrooms; or commonly known as “Shrooms”, for therapeutic use. Under Measure 110, possession of small amounts of the aforementioned illegal substances would be considered a civil violation with no jail time. Additionally city officials have e...
Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty Election Day is upon us and like clockwork, lines are being drawn in the political sand right before our eyes. Sensing this natural divide, 50 Cent took it as a moment to imagine a mock meat beef between Eminem and Lil Wayne given their political affiliations of late. The artist born Curtis Jackson rarely misses a moment to troll, doing so via his favored tool of social media to get some jokes off at someone else’s expense. Using a photo of a Black man holding a large confederate facing off against a white man with a Black Lives Matter sign, Fif captioned the image “Wanye vs. Eminem” with a laughing emoji. Recently, Wayne has joined an alarmingly growing list of rappers who have put their faith into President Donald Trump. On the reverse, Eminem gave Joe Biden a...

Patti Smith and her longtime guitarist Lenny Kaye serenaded early voters with her apropos 1988 song “‘People Have the Power” in a New York City performance early Tuesday morning. With New York City being Smith’s home base, many voters standing in line knew the tunes and joined in on the chorus. You don’t have to be the Godmother of Punk to surprise and delight voters in long voting lines!” Finishing the song, Smith entreated, “Don’t forget it, use your voice! Vote!” Additionally, Smith, masked and in a beanie, posted a photo on Instagra...
