Mary Wilson, a founding member of The Supremes, the iconic trio which also featured Diana Ross and Florence Ballard, died on Monday (2/8) at her home in Henderson, Nevada. She was 76 . No cause of death has been announced. In the 1960s, the Motown group enjoyed a spate of hits that included “Where Did Our Love Go,” “Baby Love,” “Come See About Me,” and “Stop! In the Name of Love.” Wilson appeared on all 12 of the Supremes’ No. 1 pop hits from 1964 to 1969. The Supremes recorded 29 albums between 1962 and 1976. The set features previously unreleased rarities, including a cover of Laurie Anderson’s “O Superman,” which the band played at their secret show as ‘The Tao Jones Index’ at the festival the previous day. Recorded at The Phoenix Festival in Long Marston, England on July 20, 1997, it arrives Feb. 12 on double CD and triple vinyl, as limited one-run only pressings via Parlophone Records. Oakland, California-based duo tUnE-yArDs have shared a new song and animated video for “hold yourself,” off their just-announced fifth studio album, sketchy. The 11-track record, which includes last year’s single “nowhere, man,” arrives March 26 on 4AD. “This song is about feeling really betrayed, by my parents’ generation, and at the same time, really seeing how we are betraying the future,” the band’s Merrill Garbus explains in a statement. The new music was initially inspired by the Beastie Boys Book and Questlove’s Creative Quest and created with Merrill on drums and Nate Brennan on bass. “I started remembering that people come to us to be entertained, to move, to feel joy.
